An image capturing device in an embodiment of the present technology is provided with: a detection unit that detects a temperature or a remaining battery capacity; an image capturing element that obtains a captured image; and a compensation unit that, on the basis of the result of the detection by the detection unit, changes an electronic camera shake compensation precision for the captured image obtained by the image capturing element when an electronic camera shake compensation function is enabled.
