An axial-flow blower has a hub that rotates about an axial center and a plurality of blades placed in the outer periphery of the hub. In the outer peripheral edge side of each blade, the front edge part is formed so as to be convex toward an intake side and the rear edge part is formed so as to be convex toward a discharge side, and in the rear edge side of each blade, the inner peripheral side is formed so as to be convex toward the discharge side and the outer peripheral side is formed so as to be convex toward the intake side. The formation of eddies and the growth of eddies, which are produced from the front edge parts, the blade tip parts, and the rear edge parts, are suppressed, effective flow channel width is sufficiently guaranteed, and turbulence occurring with resistance is reduced, whereby noise and efficiency are improved. |
