PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a composite material excellent in a carrier transporting property and in a carrier injecting property to an organic compound and also excellent in visible light transmittance; a current excitation type light emitting element using the same; and a light emitting device and an electric appliance using the light emitting element.SOLUTION: The composite material is characterized by comprising an organic compound represented by the general formula (1) in the figure or the like and an inorganic compound.
