PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flaw removal device for a steel material which has simple structure, is easily adjusted and maintained, and which does not generate a flaw in a product without using a rotation mechanism and a pump, etc.SOLUTION: The flaw removal device for a steel material is provided which comprises: a metal wire brush 1 arranged in a line through which a material 7 to be rolled passes; and a support part 2 for supporting the wire brush 1, and in which since the wire brush 1 is supported by the support part 2 and arranged in such a way that the tip part of the wire brush 1 contacts the material 7 to be rolled, the tip part of the wire brush 1 supported by the support part 2 contacts a flaw generated in the surface of the material to be rolled, the flaw is swept away by the tip part of the brush, and the flaw is removed by conveying the material 7 to be rolled by a rolling mill. Consequently, unlike the conventional case, the flaw removal device has simple structure only with the brush and the support part, the flaw removal device is easily adjusted and maintained, and does not generate the flaw in a product without having a rotation mechanism and a pump, etc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
