The invention relates to a device for the visible fastening of facade panels on a substructure, having a fastening plate (1) from which clamps (3) are bent out, said clamps forming in each case an upwardly open receiving means (7) for a lower edge of a facade panel and a downwardly open receiving means (8) for an upper edge of a neighbouring facade panel. Said device can be easily produced and offers visual advantages for the mounted facade if an approximately T-shaped clamp piece (3), comprising a central piece (5) and an upper crosspiece (6), is punched out of the fastening plate (1) and bent through 90@ out of the plane of the fastening plate (1), with the result that the upper crosspiece (6), along with the central piece (5), forms both the upper and lower receiving means (7, 8). <IMAGE>
