<p>The invention relates to the field of therapeutic chemistry. It relates to the use of 4-mercapto-6-hydroxypyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidine and its salts as a scavenger of free radicals, in the form of pharmaceutical compositions suitable for parenteral, oral, rectal or percutaneous administration. The pharmaceutical compositions based on 4-mercapto-6-hydroxy- pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidine or one of its salts serve as medicaments for the treatment of vascular complications linked to anoxia or to ischaemia, as well as for the treatment of diseases of the respiratory tract.</p> |
