Process for further cooling of a hot, SO2-containing flue gas, precooled in an air preheater, having a sulphuric acid dew point in the range from 120 to 180 DEG C before a desulphurisation at low temperatures, the flue gas being subjected to a treatment to lower the dew point, heat then being withdrawn from the flue gas above the lowered dew point and the heat withdrawn from the flue gas being essentially transferred to the desulphurised flue gas. |
