The method of displaying text characters on visual display screens using point rasters involves transferring the characters of a first raster with fewer raster points per character and line to the screen of a visual display device with a second raster with more raster points per character and line. During the transfer to the second device an additional raster point is automatically added to each nth raster point in the original raster using a decoding method. ADVANTAGE - Enables simple transfer of text from raster with fewer point per line and character to be clearly represented in raster with more points.
