A basic housing (G) secured to a part (F) of the vehicle accepts a retention plate (H) into which the handset (T) is clipped. Electrical contacts are grouped in a plug (VS) on the housing (G) and a socket (VB) in the plate (H). Another surface of the housing (G) carries a plug (SF) for connections to power supply, antenna, microphone, loudspeaker etc. from one or more printed circuit boards (B). The handset (T) is held in a recess (A) with electrical connection (P) to a resilient contact pin (K). ADVANTAGE - Simple and inexpensive construction is associated with higher interference immunity in motor vehicle environment.
