<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network printing system that reduces a burden of a network administrator and is capable of implementing a measure against an unauthorized use of a printing function on the network. <P>SOLUTION: A client instrument 102 notifies a security management server 101 that it has received PDL data from a host computer 104 (Step S503). At the security management server 101 that has received the notification, the security level of the client instrument 102 is checked and determined (Step S506).
