PURPOSE: To simplify a folding mechanism in construction and to smoothly and reliably bend and fold a film by a method wherein opposed erect pieces at both ends of the film are bent to be overlapped by a pair of folding plates in a final folding process in a rice ball wrapping machine for wrapping a rice ball with the film while folding the film. CONSTITUTION: A pair of folding plates 20, 20' with guide rollers 19, 19' supported by bearing at the tops thereof are provided so as to be slid by a drive lever 24 toward adjacent fitting holes 15, 15 of a rotating feed plate 14 for intermittently feeding rice balls. The top parts of the paired folding plates 20, 20' can be rotated outward of each other in cam groove holes 17, 17' formed in a guide body for the folding plates 20, 20'. Erect pieces of a film shifted per rice ball are successively folded at every intermittent stop of the rotating feed plate 14, thereby being continuously overlappedly folded to wrap the rice balls. |
