PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing formed parts from metal and a thixotropy forming device suitable for the method to manufacture the formed parts having few voids by pushing thixotropic metal billets into a mold cavity from a holding chamber with an extending piston. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing formed parts from metal by pushing thixotropic metal billets 20 into a mold cavity 30 from a holding chamber 12 with a piston 16, the mold cavity 30 is forcedly evacuated at least until a time point tE when the metal billets enter the mold cavity 30. In a thixotropy forming device corresponding to it, the mold cavity 30 is connected to a negative pressure chamber 48.
