<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the progress of oxidation from a defect part by covering the surface of reduced iron with an organic film forming material. CONSTITUTION: The surface of the reduced iron is covered with the organic film forming material or a coating film containing the organic film forming material and a CO2 generating material to prevent the oxidation of the surface. The organic film forming material forms a homogeneous protective film free from defect even if it is thin compared to graphite or an inorganic material and enters even into many voids present in a sponge like reduced iron or the like to form a coating film on the wall surface thereof to effectively prevent the oxidation of the surface of the reduced iron. The organic film forming material is one or more kinds of hydrocarbon based materials selected from a group consisting of pitch, asphalt, coal tar, liquefied coal oil, and petroleum refining residue oil. As a result, excellent oxidation preventing effect is attained.</p> |
