The invention concerns a method for indirect thin-layer coating using an applicator roll (5) receiving the coating composition (3) partly immersed in a vessel or tank (1) containing the coating composition. The invention is characterised in that at the outlet of said vessel or tank (1), the emerging part of the applicator roll (5), in order to spread uniformly the coating composition, is in contact with a levelling roll (19) provided with a elastomer coat (21), rotating or not in the same direction as the applicator cylinder (5) and whereof the peripheral speed of rotation is different from that of the applicator roll (5). The invention is in particular useful for PVC or linoleum flooring or wall facing. |
