PURPOSE:To automatically set the tension of a winder at an appropriate value for making the winder possible to carry out winding at the optimum tension by providing the winder with a winding inspection means for checking up winding, a command value correcting means for correcting a tension command value, and a control means for controlling driving of a brake mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The brake mechanism of a tension device 12 is controlled under a tension command value issued from a control device 11 of the winder 10 to a tension controller 13, thereby providing wire with an even tension to carry out winding. However, in this case, if a tension value does not match with a requirement and after winding a measured wire resistance sent from an inspection device 30 against work of wire is out of a predetermined range, a correcting command value is automatically output from a comparator 38 to the relevant tension controller 13. Then, the tension controller 13 automatically corrects the tension command value sent from a controller 11 in accordance with this correcting command value and controls the brake mechanism. |
