PURPOSE:To accurately grasp the status of an information processing system immediately after executing a certain specific channel command in order to evaluate an I/O processor for controlling I/O operation or inspect a fault. CONSTITUTION:In the information processing system having a system control device 10, an arithmetic processor 20, a diagnostic processor 30, a main storage device 50, and an I/O processor 40, the I/O processor 40 is provided with a channel program executing means 41 for executing a channel program, a channel program execution address storing means 42 for storing a channel program address under execution, a channel program stop address storing means 43 for storing a channel program address to be stopped, a channel program address comparing means 44 for detecting matching between the contents of the means 42, 43, and system stop instruction means 45 for instructing of the stop of the whole information processing system at the time of detecting the matching of address. |
