PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive burden exerted on a drive transmission system or a drive source, and occurrences of vehicular behaviors against a driver's operation by preventing the disagreement between front wheels and rear wheels in a vehicular drive controller for driving the front and rear wheels with different drive sources. SOLUTION: The vehicular drive controller is provided with a controller 10 which controls drive of a motor 6 by means of data communication from a travelling condition detection means including a shift position sensor for detecting the shift position of the front side transmission 3 interposed between the engine 1 and the front wheels FRW. A rear side clutch 7 is provided between the motor 6 and the rear wheels RRW. A shift signal monitoring means 11 for detecting the driver's shift operating conditions is provided in addition to the shift position sensor. The controller 10 executes fail control to release the rear side clutch 7 when there is a disagreement between the AT shift signal obtained by the data communication and the shift position detected by the shift signal monitoring means 11.
