PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance sensivity and specification properties of diagnostic equipment for tissue before malignancy and the initial malignant tissue to benignant tissue in image forming autofluoresence diagnosis. SOLUTION: In the equipment for forming and diagnosing an image of tissue equipped with a light source for guiding light to tissue through an endoscope and an image transmission unit arranged in the endoscope to guide the image of the tissue to a color camera, the color camera is equipped with three sensors for red, green and blue of three color regions and these sensors are connected to an image processor unit for supplying an image signal to a monitor. The light source emits red light separately other than flourescent exciting light in the operation mode of the image forming autofluorescene diagnosis and the image processor unit of the camera is equipped with a means for attenuating the electrical signal formed by the red sensor of a three-chip camera in the operation mode of the image forming autofluorescene diagnosis.
