PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of excellently washing dishes even in the case of washing the dishes by using a kitchen detergent. SOLUTION: In a kitchen detergent course, before a washing process, a soaking process of jetting washing water accumulated inside a washing tank to the dishes and leaving them for prescribed time is executed. In the soaking process, after performing low temperature soaking of maintaining the temperature of the washing water inside the washing tank at about 30°C (the temperature suitable for removing stains containing protein in components with the kitchen detergent (especially a neutral detergent)), high temperature soaking of maintaining the temperature of the washing water inside the washing tank at about 50°C is performed.
