Disclosed is a pet sheet (21) including a backsheet (31), a liquid-permeable topsheet (33) and a liquid absorbent layer (25) which is smaller than the backsheet (31) and disposed between the backsheet (31) and the topsheet (33). The backsheet (31) extends beyond the liquid absorbent layer (25) to provide side regions (23,24) outside the liquid absorbent layer (25).
