PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device that enhances daylight contrast and maintains the luminance of a panel. SOLUTION: A filter and a plasma display device using the filter are disclosed, and the filter comprises a base unit and an external light-shielding sheet having a pattern unit formed on the base unit, where the bottom stage, which is wider of the top and the bottom stage of the pattern unit is formed into a concave shape.
