<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which enables the realization of good images on plain paper and the security of high reliability on ink jet recording, especially an ink composition which has excellent discharging stability, storage stability, colorability, and fixability, realizes good image qualities little having mixed color bleeding and irregular printing, and has high reliability especially on printing stability on ink jet recording. <P>SOLUTION: This ink composition comprises at least a polyether-modified polysiloxane represented by formula (1), a polyether-modified polysiloxane represented by formula (2), a pigment, water, and a water-soluble organic solvent. The ink composition realizes high reliability on good images and printing stability on plain paper.
