FIELD: transport engineering; power-assisted steering mechanisms. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed vehicle steering mechanism with hydraulic booster contains screw installed in case and mechanically connected with distributor shaft-spool, screw being mechanically coupled through piston-rack with sector, mechanism to cut off hydraulic booster in extreme position of piston-rack being essentially spring loaded plungers arranged in channels of piston-rack engaging with adjusting screws and coupled through threaded joint with case and housing of distributor and fitted by cylindrical shanks into channels of case and housing of hydraulic distributor. Grooves are made in cylindrical shanks of adjusting screws. Spring rings are installed in grooves. Channels of case and distributor housing are closed by shutters made in form of oval plates with holes and circular cuts for fastening bolts. Shutters are made for partial overlapping of channels in case and distributor housing at opening.
