<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to sufficiently suppress deposition of developer suspended from a developing unit side on a light exit surface, thereby, suppress deterioration in image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The color laser printer 1 includes: a photoreceptor drum 53 on which an electrostatic latent image is formed; an LED unit 40 which has an LED 420, and which exposes the photoreceptor drum 53 at an exposure position facing a counter position T on the photoreceptor drum 53, and also, which is shiftable between the exposure position and a retreat position. The LED unit 40 includes: a dust prevention wall 110 disposed protrusively from the light exit surface 40A of the LED unit 40; and a positioning part 120 for positioning the LED unit 40 to the photoreceptor drum 53 at the exposure position.
