The present disclosure is related to a Multimodal Odoriferous Interface (a multimodal interface is that where a person can interact with an interface of a digital device, for example, an interactive display on the car's dashboard using a plurality of input and output modalities (communication channels) and more than one direction at the same time). The present Odoriferous Interface is a monitoring-oriented architecture for drivers of motor vehicles in order to increase the security of the same to avoid distractions while driving. The Multimodal Odoriferous Interface has a sensor-based system that makes it possible to know if the driver’s fitness is adequate to drive, in other words, the invention can be used to know if the driver is in alert status or sleepy, thus focusing the solution in preventing car accidents. The novel devices and sensors included in the services of the multimodal interface represent the starting point of an innovative solution system with early detection capabil ities of drivers’ incidents, said system reacting to the sensor readings, allowing alerting the driver in a natural, intuitive and non-obstructive way, releasing fragrances in the motor vehicle capable to wake him/her up and take him/her back to an alertness status. It is through the early and efficient intervention that car accidents can be avoided. This is why the proposed invention is aimed mainly for an early and ubiquitous monitoring and intervention through fragrances released by the interface in the motor vehicle. |
