Provided is a heatset offset printing ink composition that exhibits an excellent balance between press stability, resistance to scumming, and heatset characteristics even when less organic solvent is used compared to prior art. The above is achieved by providing a heatset offset printing ink composition including a varnish, a vegetable oil, an organic solvent, an extender pigment, and a water-soluble hydrophilic substance that exhibits a thickening effect when added to water, wherein the following conditions (1) to (5) are satisfied. (1) The tolerance of the varnish is 5 (mL/3 g) to 50 (mL/3 g) inclusive. (2) The vegetable oil content is 7 mass% to 30 mass% inclusive. (3) The organic solvent content is 10 mass% to 35 mass% inclusive. (4) The extender pigment content is 0.1 mass% to 20 mass% inclusive. (5) The hydrophilic substance content is 0.01 mass% to 3 mass% inclusive. |
