<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus hardly causing faulty charging and having good transfer performance. <P>SOLUTION: A surface layer containing fine lubricant particles is formed on a surface of a photoreceptor. Thus, even if a discharge substance generated by a non-contact charging system degenerates the surface of the photoreceptor, rise of the friction coefficient of the photoreceptor can be suppressed by the fine lubricant particles on the surface of the photoreceptor. As a result, transfer performance to transfer paper or the like is improved and a good image can be obtained.
