The present invention relates to an information display device and a method thereof. The method comprises the following operations of: maintaining a display unit in a transparent state in a standby mode wherein the display unit covers a clock module including clock needles from an upper portion; adjusting transmittance of a display area in the display unit in correspondence with a display event; and displaying information, which corresponds to the display event, on the display area.
