The present invention relates to a server device and a method for outputting high definition video under a virtual environment. In the server device and the method for outputting the high definition video under the virtual environment, which are disclosed, the server device is to output a high definition program under the virtual environment. The server device includes at least one virtual machine, a virtual machine agent, at least one graphic device, a hypervisor, and a memory re-mapping unit. The at least one virtual machine realizes a computing environment in software. The virtual machine agent monitors an application program executed on the virtual machine and distinguishes processes depending on whether the application program requires a high quality output. The at least one graphic device interworks with the application program executed on the virtual machine to generate a video signal. The hypervisor allocates resources of the graphic device to the virtual machine. The memory re-mapping unit converts and manages a memory address value of the graphic device so that the virtual machine directly approaches the graphic device. According to the present invention, the program requiring high quality image processing can be run under the virtual environment, and problems related to the restriction under the virtual environment according to the related art can be solved, so that the spread of a virtualization technology into an industrial field can be accelerated. |
