A device and the related method for printing on a side surface of at least one substantially cylindrical body comprising one or more print heads, transport means for displacing the cylindrical body/ bodies with its side surface facing to the print head/s, as well as means for rotating the cylindrical body around the central axis of the side surface, are described. The device and the method are characterized in that the transport means move the cylindrical bodies along a straight vertical path and the central axis of the cylindrical bodies is substantially perpendicular to the straight vertical path along which they are moved. |
