This processing method includes: a sealant deposition process step (step (S621)) in which, during the sealing of a joint (13u) created in a joined part between a second panel (112) and a third panel (113) that are arranged so as to form a concave surface part (410) concaved toward the inside of a body in the location where the opposing ends thereof are joined together, a sealant (210) is deposited so as to cover a recess (410s) of the concave surface part (410); and a sealant working step (step (S622)) in which a concavity (400s) is formed in the center of the sealant (210) by partially removing the deposited sealant (210). In step (S622), a working device (500) is applied in which a polishing agent (511), which is an elastic element, comes into contact with and works the sealant (210). Through steps (S621) and (S622), a method for processing a body and a joint is achieved in which the region of a joint associated with the joining together of panels of the body is guaranteed to be visually appealing as well as sufficiently waterproof through a simple method. |
