PUSH BUTTON AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE USING SAME

A push button which has a downwardly pushable panel, a substrate having a switch mounted thereon and positioned in the downward-pushing direction of the panel, and an arm positioned between the substrate and panel. The arm has a cantilevered shape, with one free end and one fixed end. A position on the arm nearer to the free end thereof than to the fixed end thereof faces the switch, and has a projecting section formed thereon. The arm is also pushed downward by the downward-pushing operation of the panel. The arm being pushed downward causes the projecting section to apply pressure to the switch. The section of the panel nearer to the free end than to the fixed end is pushed downward to a greater degree than is the section nearer to the fixed end than to the free end.
