PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate matter detecting system capable of further improving the sensitivity of a particulate matter sensor.SOLUTION: A particulate matter detecting system comprises a filter 2, a particulate matter sensor 3, and a control unit 4. The filter 2 collects a particulate matter 5 contained in an exhaust gas g. The particulate matter sensor 3 is provided more downstream of the exhaust gas g than the filter 2. The particulate matter sensor 3 detects the particulate matter 5 not collected by the filter 2, and includes a pair of electrodes 31 and 32, an accumulation part 33, and a heater 34. The control unit 4 is configured so as to heat the heater 34 when burning the particulate matter 5 collected in the filter 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
