PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat pad production method and a seat pad in which a weight can be reduced more than before and the sitting comfort can be improved.SOLUTION: A seat pad production method performs foam molding of a resin composition 25 in a mold 20 containing a three-dimensional network structure 15. The method has the steps of: coating a three-dimensional network structure 15 by a non-impregnated coating film 32 to the resin composition 25; performing the foam molding of the resin composition 25 while the coated three-dimensional network structure 15 is disposed in the mold 20 at predetermined intervals to the mold surface 24 of a seating side; and forming a through-hole for penetrating through the coating film 32 from the surface of the seating side to the three-dimensional network structure 15. Thereby, a weight can be reduced more than before, and breathability and a desired elasticity/flexibility are combined, and therefore a seat pad improved in sitting comfort can be produced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
