PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body detector that can improve sensitivity.SOLUTION: A pyroelectric element 2 has a plurality of detection units 24. A plurality of infrared-receiving paths 70 include a plurality of first infrared-receiving paths 71 defined by any one of a plurality of lenses 30 and the detection units 24, and a plurality of second infrared-receiving paths 72 defined by another lens 30 that is adjacent to the one of the lenses 30 and the detection units 24. A lens array 3 is configured in such a manner that one of the first infrared-receiving paths 71 and one of the second infrared-receiving paths 72 overlap with each other. The polarity of a surface electrode 25 of a detection unit 24 for the first infrared-receiving path 71 is the same as the polarity of a surface electrode 25 of a detection unit 24 for the second infrared-receiving path 72.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
