A self-locking type angle adjusting mechanism for an endoscope, comprising an endoscope angle adjusting steel wire (5), a rotating grip (2), an endoscope handle (3), and a self-locking type rotating device located in the endoscope handle (3). An outer surface of a rotating shaft (7) is provided with an outer conical surface coaxial with the rotating shaft. A conical barrel matching the outer conical surface is sheathed outside same. An inner wall of the conical barrel is an inner conical surface, the inner conical surface corresponding to the outer conical surface. The rotating shaft (7) or the conical barrel is axially provided with a spring (14), enabling the rotating shaft (7) to move in the direction of the conical barrel or enabling the conical barrel to move in the direction of the rotating shaft (7), and forcing the inner conical surface and the outer conical surface to be tightly attached to each other so as to achieve self-locking. An inner end of the endoscope angle adjusting steel wire (5) is fixed to the rotating shaft (7). The rotating grip (2) is connected to the rotating shaft (7). A soft sheath (4) can be locked at any position in a non-polar manner, requirements for free localization of an endoscope in a surgery process are met, the labor intensity in the surgery process is alleviated, and injuries to a patient caused by maloperation are prevented.
