Roller bearing universal joint - has forks and cruciform centre with two roller bearings at each fork limb

The universal joint has two forks and a centre member having four cruciform spigots. Each spigot is supported in a limb of one of the forks by two axially adjacent roller bearings arranged between the fork and a pot-shaped casing surrounding the spigot. The casing is pushed on to the spigot after assembly of the centre member in the fork. The closed end of the casing is extended axially. The extension is the inner race for the bearing furthest away from the centre of the joint.
