The rheological properties of bitumen and bituminous compositions are modified by addition of from 0.1 to 5% by weight of at least one compound of the formula I, in which the symbols are as defined in Claim 1. These compounds engage in the colloid-chemical behaviour of the bitumen, modifying the peptisation state of the micelle-forming asphaltenes. In the case of bitumen containing an effective amount of such compounds, the viscosity/temperature behaviour is modified. The modification of the micelle structure achieves homogenisation and stabilisation. <IMAGE> |
