PURPOSE:To prevent mixing between gas and oil by making the inside of a cylinder gastight by means of a shell body, and sealingly charging the oil in the cylinder and inert gas in an airtight chamber, and attaching a gas barrier layer to the wall of said shell body. CONSTITUTION:The main body of an about cup-shaped shell body 20 is formed of polyurethane elastomer, and a gas barrier layer 21 is attached to the inner wall surface of said shell body 20. Said shell body 20 is fixed in a cylinder 22, and the inside of said body 20 is sealingly charged with nitrogen gas 23, and the inside of said cylinder 22 with oil 24. Thus the free piston of a shock absorber becomes omissible, and the gas cam be always separated from the oil to prevent mutual mixing between the gas and the oil. |
