<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter management system which can permit an easy visual determination of the validity of printed matter and gives high security against its dishonest use. <P>SOLUTION: In this printed matter management system, a management server 101 confirms personal information, for specifying a user, which is received from a printing device, then when the personal information is valid, receives printing instructions from the printing device 201 and generates print data including identification information for identifying a printing medium, as a first print content corresponding to the received printing instructions. The management server 101 sends the print data to the printing device 201. Further, the management server 101 receives a judgement request for judging the validity of the printing medium containing the identification information from a judgement device 301 and judges the validity of the printing medium to the judgement request.
