TERMINAL INSERTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To insert a terminal in a connector housing while an electric wire is wired on a wiring board by providing a chuck for sandwiching the terminal and the electric wire, and by reversing the front end part of the terminal as well as the end part of the electric wire while they are sandwiched. CONSTITUTION:A terminal B and an electric wire A sandwiched by a chuck means 20 are reversed by 180 deg. by a reversing means 30 of a terminal inserting device 7, and the terminal B is inserted in a connector housing C by making a connector housing holding means 40 relatively closer to the chuck means 20 while the front end of the terminal B is directed inward of a wiring board 9. There is no need of loosening or slackening the intermediate part of the electric wire to allow the electric wire A and the terminal B to move, and the terminal B can be inserted in the housing C while the electric wire is wired on board the wiring board 9. There is no possibility of causing a case where the electric wire gets in the way of inserting a terminal which is not yet inserted.
