PURPOSE:To facilitate the connection of two pieces of optical fiber tapes to a multiple optical fiber connector to be connected to an optical branching unit for inserting or taking a light signal for testing into or out of an optical communication line. CONSTITUTION:This pitch change connector consists of a multiple optical fiber connector 8E and a pitch change part 13 having the same pitch as the pitch between the coated fibers of the optical connector 8E. This pitch change part 13 is formed of a change part body 13-1, a pitch change member 13a provided with guide grooves 13b formed formed at the pitch twice the pitch of the optical connector 8E provided zigzag so as to vertically face each other, an optical fiber fixing member 14 and a boot 15 protecting an optical fiber ribbon for introducing. The pitch change connector is constituted by adhering the multiple optical fiber connector 8E and the pitch change part 13 after the optical fiber ribbon is introduced and worked.
