<p>PURPOSE:To accurately input and process handwritten characters and graphic data at a high speed by inhibiting X-directional and Y-directional data, generated in synchronism with Z-directional movement as ineffective data when a Z-directional movement quantity more than specified or speed variation more than specified is generated, and extracting only effective data by a gate circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a pen 1 is moved, X, Y, and Z sensors 11X-11Z convert the movement into electric signals, which are amplified by X, Y, and Z amplifiers 12X-12Z, integrated by 1st X, Y, and Z integrators 2X-2Z and X, Y, and Z integrators 3X-3Z, and converted by X, Y, and Z A/D converters 4X-4Z into digital values. The resolution of the X, Y, and Z A/D converters 4X-4Z is determined with sample frequencies from X, Y, and Z resolution circuits 6X-6Z. For the purpose, an AND circuit 7 decides whether or not the output of the Z amplifier 12Z or Z integrator 3Z is larger than specified; when the output is larger, X- and Z-directional data which are generated synchronously are inhibited as ineffective data and only the effective data are extracted by the gate circuit 5.</p> |
