<p>PURPOSE: To provide a reciprocating piston type compressor wherein bore distortion formed in a cylinder block in an operating condition can be corrected, and damaging a piston and a cylinder bore can be prevented by enhancing compression efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A drive shaft 32 is supported to a center part of cylinder blocks 11, 12, to fit a swash plate 36 fixed onto the drive shaft 32. A piston 36 is received to the swash plate 35 through shoes 37, 38 so as to be reciprocatable in cylinder bores 11a, 12a. A delivery chamber 28 formed in a center part of a rear housing 16 communication with cavity parts 41, 42 formed to a central part of a rear side end face of the cylinder blocks 11, 12. A high pressure n the delivery chamber 28 leads to also the cavity parts 41, 42, and by this pressure, distortion of the cylinder bore 12a of the cylinder block 12 is corrected, to properly hold a clearance of the piston 36.</p> |
