PURPOSE: To obtain a phenol resin molding material excellent in abrasion resistance and brake fluid resistance without impairing mechanical strengths and heat resistance and useful for brake piston for disk brake by blending a phenol resin with a specific filler and a specific amount of an acid catalyst. CONSTITUTION: This molding material contains (A) a phenol resin, (B) wollastonite (B1 ) having 10-300μm particle diameter, glass fiber (B2 ) having 0.5-5mm fiber length and calcined clay (B3 ), each blended in, amounts of 200-350 pts.wt., 80-120 pts.wt. and 20-100 pts.wt. as fillers based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A and (C) an acid catalyst such as imidedisulfonic acid, benzenesulfonic acid or toluenesulfonic acid blended in an amount of 3-20 pts.wt. A as a curing catalyst based on 100 pts.wt. of the component. |
