PURPOSE: To provide a mirror adjusting mechanism for a spectroscope wherein yawing, rolling and pitching of a mirror in a vacuum vessel can be adjusted without housing a drive motor, a speed reducer or the like in the vacuum vessel. CONSTITUTION: A mirror adjusting mechanism for a spectroscope adjusts the position of a mirror stored to accord a reflection face to a main axis Y in a vacuum vessel in a rectangular coordinates system of XYZ. The mirror adjusting mechanism is composed of a yawing adjusting device 16 for adjusting yawingθZ of the mirror 2, a rolling adjusting device 17 for adjusting rollingθX thereof and a pitching adjusting device 18 for adjusting pitchingθY thereof respectively. Each adjusting device air-tightly penetrates the vacuum vessel 11, and is provided with hollow drive shafts 16a, 17a, 18a going through the vacuum vessel air-tightly and disposed coaxial with a Y axis and drive motors 16b, 17b, 18b for rotating and driving the drive shafts 16a, 17a, 18a disposed in the outside of the vacuum vessel respectively.
