PURPOSE: To obtain the data of high picture quality when reading out simultaneously and to obtain the data of standard picture quality when reading out only the data of one surface by recording the data of the standard picture quality on one surface of a stuck optical disk, and the data of high picture quality components on the other surface. CONSTITUTION: The compressed video data of the standard picture quality are recorded on the first surface of the stuck optical disk D with a nearly half of a distance between a substrate surface and a recording surface of a standard value 1.2mm. The compressed data of a difference between the high picture quality and the standard picture quality are recorded on a second surface. The recording information of the first surface, second surface are read out by read-out circuits 11a, 11b respectively, and are demodulated by CD decoders 12a, 12b to be inputted to a data synthesis/decoding circuit 2. The output of the decoder 12a is outputted to an output terminal for external equipment also. The output of the decoder 12b is synthesized/decoded with the output of the decoder 12a, and is decoded to the data of the high picture quality to be outputted from an output circuit 13. Thus, the reproduction according to a reproducing device for the standard/high picture quality is performed, and the compatibility is secured. |
