ULTRASONIC PIEZOELECTRIC TRANSDUCER AND ULTRASONIC MOTOR

PURPOSE: To provide an ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer which has a high driving efficiency and a large torque by a method wherein a resonator which has only a theoretical vibration component is provided. CONSTITUTION: A resonator 4 is fixed to a piezoelectric device 1 and two or more gentle slope surfaces 4a are provided on the resonator 4. By applying a frequency which causes the piezoelectric device 1 to resonate in its respective surface directions to this device an oval mode vibration of the two or more directions is induced. The rigidity of the resonator 4 is gradually increased along with the distance from its center axis.
