PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of a linear superconductor. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, oxide powder is provided to form an intermediate body having a metallic clad for surrounding the oxide powder, and a linear body is formed from the intermediate body to heat-treat the linear body. At that time, the oxide powder has a bulk superconductor, containing single phase copper, having a transition temperature of Tc (R=0) of 77K or more, and chemical composition different only in oxygen quantity at most; the metallic clad is a Cu-made tube wherein the innermost side layer is made of an Ag thin coat, an intermediate diffusion barrier layer is made of Ni, and a heat-treating step is made in an oxygen-containing atmosphere so as to sinter the oxide powder. |
