摘要 The present invention provides a rapier and gripper for a rapier loom, in which the rapier and gripper are constructed to be able to move within any predetermined range in the tape, so that the weft thread can be transferred by using an inertial force produced when they stop at the middle point, and the tension produced at the weft thread, wherein the rapier and the gripper for the rapier loom is characterized by comprising: a rapier body 111 and a gripper body 112, each of which is formed to be streamlined so that it can easily progress into a shedding 102, and is provided with a head portion 110 formed with an engaging hook 109, each lower side of which is engaged with a base 114 secured by means of a tape 108 and a connection step portion 113; slots 115 formed at the front of the base 114 to be a length L enough to transfer the weft thread 107 after the rapier 105 and the gripper 106 cross-contact it, and through which the tape and the base are secured to the rapier body 111 and the gripper body 112 by means of securing means 116, so that the rapier body 11 and the gripper body 112 can move slidably with respect to the bases 114 by means of the inertial force produced at the time of stop of the tape 108; and supporting plates 120 formed at the rear side of the engaging hooks 109 formed at the rapier body 11 and the gripper body 112 to project in one side, to which the weft thread 107 to be transported is picked through the cooperation of the gripping headers 122 formed at the front side of gripping levers 121 provided rotatably to the rapier body 111 and the gripper body 112, wherein the projections 123 formed at the rear side of the gripping levers 121 are constructed such that they can be picked to and unpicked from the actuating projections 125 formed at the bases 114.
